EJA

EJA

Sonnet XCIV

Sound the alarm, peace and quiet alludes,

The matrix doth roar my mind overblown,

Composer of dreams, writing such etudes,

O’er melodic seas mine ideas hath flown.

Commiseration, so dance the duet,

Minds overflowing with commanding verse,

Vision blurred by such knowing’s undue fret,

Losing sight of all purpose thee traverse.

As jagged seas’ waves engulf and do break,

Thine thoughtful mind o’er my shoulder gives aid,

For new ideas fuel and such mem’ries make,

And battle the walls this writer betrayed.

So let’s carry on as we look ashore.

Fair, kind friend, I will always love thee more.
