EJA

EJA

Sonnet CXXII

When thine eyes greet me with benevolence,

Knowing tis mine heart that sees only thee,

Such love frees me of all malevolence;

For thine eyes touch mine in all that I see.

And life made whole from morning star glowing,

Doth pain release and soul swirl in the dance,

Building to wild prosperity flowing,

Spirit made known at an all-knowing glance.

As two beseem one in rapturous embrace,

Holding fast to dreams that kindly taught thee,

Letting bright light in with sustaining grace,

Ne’er turning back to thy past jubilee.

Then will I affirm and ne’er disagree;

That lovers that dance in love always be.
