EJA

Sonnet CXLIII

All that becomes a mother tis selfless,
That beauty divine ceaselessly flowing,
A love beyond age forever fearless,
Her heart within mine own soul e’er knowing.
Bright as Venus delicately at play,
Orbiting the Sun’s beaming gaze outward,
Calming the strain of night as doth the day,
Where heav’n’s joy streams vibrantly downward.
Such luminous reflection of the Gods,
Bearing our burdens and shoring our fears,
Breaking sorrow’s chains beyond mortal odds,
Life’s vessel sailing seas of joy and tears,
Fair maiden’s smile coursing our childhood years,
A mother’s love, tis music of the spheres.
