EJA

Sonnet CXLVI

Let darkness be the light of enchantment;
For blushing pilgrims do such refuge find,
Like honey through the combs first amazement,
Thrilling appetite of form, heart, and mind.
Let pleasure rise within youth’s fortress strong;
And play melodic sky’s symphonic bliss,
Holding boundless gaze that defies all wrong;
As tapestries of mind bear love’s first kiss.
Senses surge among stars vivid and bold;
That silhouettes intertwined become one,
Befitting constellations light extolled,
Transform into hypnotic rays of sun,
Burning hearts filled with all that hath begun,
E’er pondering youthful reverie won.
