EJA

Sonnet CLXXII

Harmony’s heart herald of morning glow,
Glimmers of beauty bright fill mine vessel,
Where brimming sweetness like sunlit waves flow,
As vivid leaves the wooded ground nestle.

Thy feet standing on sacred path taken,
Crisp air caressing thy slight silhouette
Of light, myself, in thee, I awaken;
To freshness thy luminous youth will let.

Nature’s child in amazement resounding,
Hear the voice of God’s heart beating gently;
Whoe’er heeds love, be thy might confounding;
That wonder be my pursuit intently:
Thou wilt; by chance, love me consequently,
For I am thine, always and urgently.
