EJA

EJA

Sonnet CLXXVIII

Thine eyes art beautiful, to see more love,
And grasp a world beyond limitless skies,
A gateway to soulful glory above,
Vigilant and fair mine heart mesmerize.

Yet, rumored disrepute thou coldly doled
While indignity’s disgrace held its sway
Bitterness encamped in hate’s vain stronghold,
Trappings afoot upon an endless quay.

Then, proof to be sure a seed surfaced there,
A scintillating glint, yet mindful still,
Piercing the earth’s shell, eyewitness didst bear
Taunting truth and fate upon grievanced hill.
Thou art beyond optic’s whimsical frill,
Where vista within, doth mine spirit fill.
