EJA

EJA

Sonnet CL

Think not only of where life doth flourish;
Hereto embrace this mortal enigma,
That starry-eyed vastness thy soul nourish,
Where this ancient sphere defies all stigma.

When skies bellow and breathe o’er thee softly,
And beckon bravely stirring the darkness,
Début youth’s vigor pleasing nights awfully,
Illuminating life’s dim hued starkness;

Then vain inconstant strife rears its fury
Tearing apart what hearts once sullied forth
Where lavish oaths denied deeply bury,
The myths of old forged upon bitter North,

And love golden bows fore heaven henceforth,
To lands unknown, I implore thee goforth.
