O, splendorous eyes thy distant gaze enthralls;
For such sweetness adorned in truth doth live!
Sunlight streams bright, o’er fairest waterfalls;
Befitting that beauty rare would’st here give.
That hearts forgiv’n hath bravely filled with tears,
Cleansing thy sorrow’d breast throughout the age,
Removing thorns that plagued thy youthful fears,
As Spring's thawing gaze subdues Winter’s rage.
And, for a spell, faith’s lone dove flies above,
Singing unworldly airs as troubles fade,
Failing not sweetness, new refrain of love;
Revive from death’s glare sweetest rewards made:
Renewing bounty, honey’d dreams pervade,
That shall not fade, despite this bard’s tirade.
