When worldly matters turn upside downward,
And viewpoints outstretched hold firm to the past,
Where youth’s courage blazed against a coward,
That all did’st believe that chance would e’er last.
Then sways imagination to new height,
Where all primordial strength doth converge,
To yield, within thine own, as soul takes flight,
As pendulum swings, quenching sweet the urge.
Let climactic perfection’s beauty rise,
An eagle’s ascent towering sky-high,
That lifts mine spirit in uttered reprise,
Bearing beauteous forms that mystify.
Holding dear as mine joy doth amplify,
Mine heart soars as love’s gravity defy.’
