Sonnet V

Hide not fairest Sun from my hearty gaze

And play thy melody sent from above

Fill mine arms hence and set my heart ablaze

A wand’ring minstrel’s twilight song of love

Traverse my soul that merriment may thrive

That Noah’s bow doth surround us sweetly

E’n though parched spirits sundry sorrows find

Harmonies entwined hold dear completely

A ballad known only by shadow’d scar

I have it in my tongue and in motion

To rise higher and higher still afar

Thy music shown with steadfast emotion

Though rain may fall and cause much commotion

Give me thy hand and be my devotion.
