EJA

EJA

Sonnet XLVI

Come tarry to the well, and mend thee there,

Renew’d perpetual spirit of love

Precious blest art thou, my sweet heart so fair;

Be thou my Sun in bluest skies above.

Lasting harmony falls daily to mind

From nebulous mists surrounding yon mount,

High o’er the rains and unto ocean bind

For all that comes of thee, be this account.

Render thy grief, and act upon thy joy;

So, love, be thou mine, cast away all doubt

Curious times are of such this life employ;

For loving dearly is a water spout,

Where spirits are buoyed lofty and stout,

And lasting delight’s what love is about.
