In bamboo wood I rest mine spirit bold;
For such is the land of golden dragon,
Far in the ancient East it hath been told,
Where wave struck an imperial wagon
A proverb bare and naked to the world,
Expressed in noble sanctity doth rise;
And around the Sun’s path hath humbly twirled,
Such simplified grace do I fantasize.
Bow low in reverence for such respect,
Where geisha and samurai do unite,
For here old and the new do intersect;
And cherry blossoms bare sweetness and light,
Where exotic and pure began such fun
Hail! Honorable “Land of the Rising Sun.”
