That madness be love’s confidant sustained,
For in such estate words embrace in rhyme;
Where two forms in breath as one ordained,
Do love in friendship’s captured fire o’er time.
Such desire doth blaze to eternal ends
Fueled by life wherein love’s petals open,
And bloom doth praise as trusty Sun ascends,
Outwardly adoring life bespoken.
What folly sculpts the face of heav’n broadly,
With poet’s heartsong on vivid display?
Dispelling discordant hopelessness oddly,
As lovers’ jubilant instruments play.
So let lunacy abound come what may,
And the raised strain of romance grace thy day.
