EJA

Sonnet CXV

O thou, my purpose love, who knows my name

And vows in truthful prose, that we believe.

In open heart and eager faith reclaim,

For distant winds murmur solemn reprieve.

If beauty, sovereign courtesan of pain,

Asks thine soul within, if thou seek’st the light?

She holds this firm resolve, that bold refrain;

May kismet beckon thee in crowned delight.

To know her, in all clarity, tis love;

As senses reveal thy utmost treasure.

Her force a reckoning sent from above,

Whose brightness unfolds measure for measure.

So delay not for Psyche seeks pleasure;

And in due time shakes thee from thy leisure.
