EJA

Sonnet CXVIII

The price of blame in an upright union
Is envy displaced; and inactions wound,

Where love forsworn hath sacred lie undone,

And savage distrust shrieks in voice untuned.

Flush’d with passion but lost in loathed fury

Madness born in bygone days no longer,

Beyond canker’d hate all rancor bury,

For purpose ready builds a heart stronger.

Brave in pursuit and all dreams to render,

Having proof where dreaded woe cannot stand;
Blissful rise that hope and beauty mender.

That very song proposed in depth’s command;

And worlds of trust in heart and mind expand,

Bloom a love led life all can understand.
